Our previous work with schools and community centres has focused on engaging pupils and families through creative, meaningful projects.
Over our 50 year history, we have run countless projects with young people through partnerships with schools across Milton Keynes, special schools and community centres.
Highlights include:
British Values: A project involving two special schools and four schools with a high representation of ethnic origins and/or in areas of deprivation, where pupils created a film to express their learnings. Watch the film below.
Campaign: A project with secondary school students focused on mental well-being and personal expression.
Winter workshops in Bradwell Abbey Grounds and Gardens: We worked with special school pupils to create Andy Goldsworthy inspired ephemeral art from found objects, building bug hotels and willow weaving.
Little Acorns and The Story Box: Initiatives in local children’s centres and special schools aimed at empowering parents and carers, especially in areas of socio economic challenge, to connect and play with their preschool children through hands-on sessions that provide skills, encouragement, and lasting resources.
We believe that creative collaborations in schools and community centres play a vital role in building self-confidence and promoting both physical and emotional well-being among young people. Our approach is inclusive and welcoming, working with high-quality leaders and creatives to design projects in partnership with schools, centres, and often the participants themselves. By focusing on specific issues or opportunities, we aim to enhance the choices and chances for young people and their families through the power of arts and creativity.
